On Your Baptism

My S,

July 17th was a sunny day. A fitting day for you to receive the gift of Baptism. We were all excited. I think our excitement rubbed off on you too much. You didn't sleep on our way to the church, making you fuzzy the whole time. You we're crying your heart out throughout the proceeding until the priest said, "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit..." to end the ceremony. I think, that would be most remembered about that day.

Honestly, I would like to think that your cry is that of gratitude, a cry to the heavens for the blessings you're about to receive now that you are, like us, a Catholic.

As you enter the Christian world, let me tell you my prayer... May the Lord watch over you and may you feel his loving presence. Believe that your life is a gift and a testament of how much God loves you and our family. May you grow up to be kind, obedient, loving and faithful. May we guide you to be the best person that you can be. Lastly, may you be happy and blessed all the days of your life.

Loving you always,
Mama
