I love Divisoria. It's my ultimate destination for cheap, discounted and bulk buys. But it's not always easy to go there. Traffic and the excruciating heat always pose a challenge. So when Ramir mentioned that there were two places in Governor Pascual, Malabon that are Divisoria-like. I jumped in, especially since we need to buy some materials for the school opening.
GLOBE PAPER MILLS / KENG HUA PAPER PRODUCTS
The compound of Globe Paper Mills looks very intimidating on the outside. Walled and gated, it would give an impression of exclusivity, if not exude a for-employees-only vibe. And it doesn't have a signage that a warehouse sale is on-going inside the premises. A passerby would be totally clueless.
So armed with the info we got from a TV show, we inquired at the guard if indeed there's a warehouse sale inside. And there was! We were instructed by the guard to go to the left building just after the rotunda. We were greeted by a huge, dark and damp space.
On the the left side was a signage that says warehouse sale. Then all
paper products were there. From notebooks to artpapers to bond papers to
graphing papers to folders and even spelling booklets.
Then there was a small airconditioned room where other school supplies are also being sold. I can't believe that they're selling ballpens for P2.50 and plastic rulers for P3.00. Everything was a steal. At least for me who's so used to National Bookstore prices.
PLASTICAN / BJMP PLASTICS
Right across Globe Paper Mills is known in Malabon as Plastican.
This is where we buy our toy and food containers. The plastic containers for toys sell very cheap. The smallest ones are around P58.00 and the medium-sized ones go for less than a hundred. The prices for the no-spill-lock-and-lock-type food containers start at P70. These are perfect for R and S's baunan.
Within the Plastican's premises is another small display area for Dickies and Fila bags. They sell it for 50% less. The original price tag from SM was still intact. We bought two Dickies bag for P500 and P750.
Both I think are good buys since I know their mall prices. We're switching to backpacks this coming school year. My R mentioned that she hasn't seen a grade four student carrying a trolley bag.
So there you have it. My back-to-school cheap finds here in our Malabon.

sis pano pumunta sa BJMP Plastics?
ReplyDeleteHi! From Monumento, go to McArthur Highway. When you see Potrero Elementary School, turn left. Follow the road going to Malabon Zoo. Just go straight ahead to Governor Pascual Avenue. After about a kilometer or two, you'll see a Shell station to the left. This is a landmark. The next gate you'll see after the Shell Station is the BJMP Plastics gate. It's right in front of Globe Paper Mills or Keng Hua Paper Products. Good luck!
