Oatmeal Cookies (supposedly no-bake)

The no-bake cookie after it was baked.
We recently bought (well, not actually bought because we used our BDO rewards points) an electric oven. I have been itching to use it for baking purposes but I am being chicken. I'm not sure if I have the right baking skills to even make a cookie. So when i stumbled upon a no-bake cookie recipe and realized that all the ingredients were just a cupboard away, I did it. I followed the measurements and the procedure but I probably did something wrong because the cookies didn't firm up. It disintegrated. Since I know that the whole batch would probably end up in the trash can, I decided to subject it to further experimentation. I popped it in the oven at 220 degrees Celcius for about 10 minutes (i think it was ten minutes but I'm not sure. It was more of my gut telling me that I need to turn off the oven because the cookies were already brown). We waited for the cookie to cool. Then we removed it from the pan. And what do you know, it was firm and it tasted good. Now, i would call that tsamba!

Below is the list of ingredients plus MY procedure (I'm putting emphasis on MY because really, my procedure was probably guided by luck).

Ingredients:
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup milk (I used Bear Brand sterilized)
1/4 cup butter (I used Dari Creme Lite)
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1 1/2 cup quick cooking oats (I used Golden Oats)

MY Procedure:
1. Combine the first three ingredients in a casserole. Bring to a boil.

2. Remove from heat and put in the last two ingredients. Mix well.

3. One tablespoon is equal to one cookie. I flatten it a bit for a thinner cookie. I baked it for about 10 minutes at 220 degrees Celcius.

Good luck with your cookie. :-)

P.S. The whole batch produced 14 cookies.  I computed all the calories of the ingredients - 1272 calories. Divided by 14 cookies, I ended up with around 91 calories per cookie.
