Magellan's Cross
First thing we did was took our photos at this landmark. It was a small domed shrine with a cross. The marker helped a lot in explaining its importance and history. Buti na lang.
We proceeded to the Basilica to light candles and say our prayers. It was more like paying our homage to Cebu's famous patron.
Since we checked the schedule beforehand, we knew that we would hear the 6pm mass at the Cathedral. This church was beautiful.
We ate at STK for dinner. It was jam packed. But they were very efficient. We were seated in no time. We had to sample their S T K or what their famous sutukil. So we ordered their Sugba, Tinola and Kinilaw. Yun pala yun! Sarap.
The next day, we started out early. We hailed a taxi and requested him to drive us to the Taoist temple. We instructed the taxi driver to wait for us. Since the temple is inside the village, we thought we would have a hard time going out without a ride waiting for us. We didn't stay long. There wasn't really much to do here but you might enjoy the fine architecture of the temple. And the wonderful vista of Cebu. The guards were also quite strict. Bawal mag-ingay. Bawal din kumain. But you can tour around, take photos and drop coins on their wishing well, and of course goof around (without sound of course).
We went to Crown Regency for their Sky Adventure. We had a great time with their Edge Coaster only it's bitin. For the price, it should have a picture to go with it and at least two passes around the building. The Skywalk is cool too. We liked the idea of sitting on the fringe of a building. While taking the Skywalk, the lady directed our sight towards Fuente Osmena. And she told us how it looked like a guitar, one of the products Cebu is famous for. Tama naman siya dun.
Since the kids can't be with us in the Sky Adventure, we 'deposited' them here. It's a three-level playing area for kids. They had a grand time. P250 for a play-all-day was the best deal. We went there in the morning, went out for lunch then came back again, no extra charge. And since it wasn't crowded, even the adults were allowed inside. We had a great time too. I think the kids could have stayed forever. But even good things should come to an end. Tip: Kids should be wearing long sleeves or jackets and socks to be allowed inside.
After our Sky Adventure, we had our lunch at Zubuchon. Since I'm no pork eater, I wasn't able to taste what people were raving about. But my meat-eater companions were very happy with their Zubuchon. The sweet tooth in me fell in love with their turon!
We made a last ditch effort to conquer one more place before we fly out from Cebu. We went to Port San Pedro - their small version of Intramuros and Plaza Independencia - their mini Luneta sans Jose Rizal, of course. It was around late afternoon when we went there. It was breezy and it was a great time to be walking.
