It has been our goal to look for an affordable place to stay within walking distance to points of interest. I checked googlemaps and The Suites at Calle Nueva met the criteria. It was walking distance to the City Plaza, BREDCO port, San Sebastian Cathedral, Manukan Country, and even to SM. Since it ranked #1 in the bed and bath category in Tripadvisor, I felt that it's worth a try.
From the outside, it looks small, I mean, can-we-really-be-accommodated-in-this-place? small. But when we entered the place and we were brought to our respective rooms, I had an ayos-naman-pala moment. We got 2 standard double rooms and a superior suite. The standard double rooms come with 2 double beds, private bathroom (with hot and cold shower, hand-held bidet sprayer and hair dryer), LCD cable television set, a bottle of water, clean sheets, clean towels and complete personal care kit (conditioning shampoo, lotion, soap, dental set and slippers).The superior room has a queen and double beds, and aside from what were mentioned above, it also has a mini bar, DVD player, refrigerator, coffeemaker, electric kettle and microwave oven. Wifi and breakfast were complimentary.

Complimentary breakfast has the usual fare - bread with butter or jam, ham, fried rice, danggit, tocino, egg, soup, garden salad and cereals. Free flowing coffee, tea or orange juice.
What can I say, it was a comfortable stay. They were nice and accommodating. It was worth every cent.
