Meralco Liwanag Park - Maliwanag na Cheap Thrill

It was an accidental discovery.  We watched the Little Mermaid at the Meralco Theater last November 26.

Our Little Mermaid Outing
As we entered Meralco's premises, we were treated to this.

Lighted pathways

Ramir and I were so sure that our whole household should experience this.  We brought everyone along.  R's ballet recital was held at Tanghalang Pasigueno.

After the recital, we proceeded to the park immediately.  We ate our packed dinner at the parking lot, waited for the clock to strike six, then strolled away.

The building was wrapped with tiny bits of moving lights.  The trees dazzled with Christmas lights.  There's a giant belen, a giant Christmas tree, a mini-church, a mini-house and a moving train where kids and adults alike can ride from 7pm to 9pm. And all of these were free. It was like a small-scale COD experience circa 1980s.  It's really a cheap thrill especially for the kids.  If you have time to spare, I suggest you drop by Meralco Liwanag Park.  We had good bonding moments there, I hope you'll do too.
